Pools Are Closed – Surviving Yuma Heat

Now that we have extended our stay in Yuma at Fortuna De Oro for the month of April, and realize we are likely to remain for the month of May as well, surviving the upcoming heat became a concern. Typically we would “live” at one of the resort pools, but they are closed due to Covid-19. So, we ordered an inflatable pool for our site! Does the resort allow you to have those? Beats me, but it is necessary for us to survive staying here as the temps begin the climb to 100 degrees. We figure in a time like this with all the amenities shut down that it should be fine. It isn’t a party pool! It should be perfect for just the two of us. 🙂 GOOGO Family Inflatable Swimming Pool. There are two sizes available. We selected the smaller one, 92″x56″x20″.

It arrived!! We love it…although we haven’t had more than our feet in it so far. Needs a day or two to warm up the water.

It fits beautifully on our concrete patio! Footprint measurements (outer edge to outer edge) are 92″ x 56″ x 20″. Inside length and width measurements are approximately 72″ x 38.5″ . We put in about 11 inches of water. The inflated sides seem to be significantly more substantial than smaller/cheaper pools. The exact one we purchased through Amazon for $72 (Small-Not Large): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0855DL4HW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
