Canyon Hot Springs, Revelstoke, BC

It was a beautiful drive from Vernon, BC to Revelstoke, BC where we landed at our peaceful and rejuvenating hot springs destination.

Entering Revelstoke…

Today we had reservations for the night at Canyon Hot Springs Campground.

We went to our site. It was super easy to back in, and we were perfectly level just like that! This site was extremely private with woods all around us – even across the road, however, it was a thick haven of mosquitoes!! We were not going to attempt to walk up to the hot springs via the mosquito-infested walk path, so we drove back up to the parking lot. Mosquitoes were not a problem up here.

Barry asked if we could just spend the night up here at the far end of the parking area instead of our mosquito-infested site. They changed us to a site in the lower camping area where it was “more open”.

We purchased the full-day pass versus a one time entry. Since it was after 2 PM the full-day pass was good the rest of today AND tomorrow till noon! We weren’t sure if we’d use it in the morning, but it allowed us to enjoy the pools for a couple hours now, head out to Sadie for dinner and return for another hour or so.

We spent most of our time in the hot pool, but we also found the larger, cooler pool quite refreshing and enjoyable. The “cold pool” was still warmer than many RV park pools!

After our evening session we splurged with an ice cream cone.

Our new site assignment pictured below was better, so you can imagine what our first one was like! There were still lots of mosquitoes here, but not the dense cloud surrounding Sadie! The main parking area of this site was also quite level. Nice!

Below is our view from our front window after parking. The open area in the middle of the loop is where I thought we would be parked, but this will work for tonight. NO one is near us. All other rvs are on the other side of the loop with more hook-ups.

Nice morning view!

We slept great! We should be ready for our upcoming adventures along the Icefields Parkway and beyond. But since we have time, we went for one more soaking dip before getting back on the road. 🙂

What a great way to start our day!
