Tonight, Barry and I went with Abby to Northwest Spirits Distillery in Woodinville. It is a fairly small, intimate place, but has such a great ambience. The friendly personality of Northwest Spirits is reflective of Bryn and Kyra who work there! You can tell they love what they do!
Abby hosts trivia there every Thursday. This was our first time being at something like this, let alone participating! We were a bit leery since it was just the TWO of us, and we were the oldest ones there. We just figured we’d keep everyone else from coming in last. 🙂 Everyone was super nice from the moment we arrived. I can see why they have regulars here! (They LOVE Abby.)
Today was Barry’s BD! Kyra fixed him a fancy birthday shot.
They also brought a really cool celebratory sparkler display for him. I’ve never seen anything like. We knew at this point it was going to be a fun night!
Barry ordered a martini, and I ordered the Blackberry & Sage Mule (Savor Spear® Vodka, blackberry, sage, lime, ginger beer). OMG that mule was incredibly delicious!!! I knew I was driving Sadie home, so one was my limit, but I so could have enjoyed another one!
For dinner, we ordered the Wood Oven Roasted Wild Mushroom scratch sourdough pizza (Saltwater cured mushrooms, black garlic ricotta, Farmstead fontina, sun-dried tomato jam). We also order the OG Butter Burger. We shared burger first…it was SO good. we could have been satisfied with that, but we already had the pizza waiting. LOL. We did our best with it, and were able to share a couple pieces later with Abby. It was also really good! The food is provided by Vons 1000 Spirits that is literally right next to them. What’s really nice is that the restaurant may be hard to get into, but you can order the same food here at Northwest Spirits—and it is delivered to you!!
We actually enjoyed participating in the trivia, and we weren’t LAST!!! We were third from the bottom out of 8 teams. We crushed the round identifying countries based on their shape! We invited Maddox and hoped he could join us, but unfortunately, he had a meeting at work and it went late.
When we asked Kyra for our bill, he told us that everything was already paid for! Abby paid it for Barry’s Birthday. 🙂 Thank you, Abby! Thank you for taking us into your trivia world! We had a great time!
