Settled into New Site

We moved into Site E-10 on June 16. Things worked out beautifully. The people left before 8 AM. Barry immediately put a lock on the electrical box. We proceeded to pull in our slides and I drove Vinny over to his new home. We got set up easily, and then brought over all our stuff that we keep in our “garage” (the Jeep top that we set on a picnic table). We even brought over our simple fence and pavers! Lease neighbors, Mike and Max asked if we needed any help. What great timing! Barry quickly responded by asking if Mike would be be able to help him put the top back on the Jeep to get it to the new site, and then take it back off. After all, we need our garage back in use. We managed to get everything moved over before I had to leave for my 12:15 ortho appointment up in Escondido. Sweet! We will be able to stay in this site till September 21!

There is more park traffic here, but the 50 AMP is so worth it!! We really don’t have close neighbors even when the park is in full operation. Across the road from us there are three cabins, and a large empty site from a privately-owned cabin recently removed.

A privately owned cabin is to our left. We know the owner, (another) Mike. He is a nice, and friendly, but he is rarely there. He has a fabulous outdoor set-up for entertaining . He even has a “portable” hot tub!

We tend to keep to ourselves when in the park. We do talk to Aaron, Brian, Sabrina & Fred who are here regularly, but we are diligent in keeping the social distance suggested when doing so.

It was nice when the pool near us was opened. We kept to “our own” corner in the pool. Not hard to do when they only let 10 people into the entire pool and pool area! Unfortunately, the pool got closed indefinitely on June 16 when several staff/workers tested positive for Covid-19! Dang it! The park closed to all new reservations till July 1. We actually love it when the park has more and more empty sites each day as people leave and no one new coming in. It has been nice with the cabins all quiet and empty these last couple weeks! Not looking forward to the 4th of July weekend since the park will be fully open again! People will be packed in here, and the cabin rentals will be overflowing with people again. Not a wise move! Hopefully, the pool won’t be reopened till AFTER the Fourth of July weekend.
