On September 1, 2025, we rolled into Chula Vista, California. We stopped and participated in a local pro-democracy/anti-Trump demonstration. It was our first California one. A few days later we participated in two more that were next to the Bonita Golf Course. People were awesome. So much support. I loved how people here used t-shirts (and shorts) for messaging protest signs! Very clever. Vic Jr, honked and waved as he passed us at one of the Bonita demonstrations! It was pretty cool to see someone we knew!

Pickleball at Mackenzie Creek Park:
There are SO many great players here! Parking here has unfortunately changed for the worse. We used to be able to park in the large parking lot below the courts, but now the owner has taken it back from the city. They are putting in Tesla electric vehicle charging stations in the main area picklers used. Being in Sadie we took a chance parking more in the main parking area and kept watch. We even hung out in Sadie afterwards a couple of times while we had lunch and got computer stuff done since there is no phone or internet service out at Pio Pico!
The next couple of days we will be taking day trips. We certainly aren’t interested in hanging out at Pio Pico while Isaac and Mona are in school.
