7-20-19: Our own lease site @ Pio Pico Thousand Trails

Barry and I have been very impressed with how the sales office and management worked to get everything done to make site E53 a great site for us! They started on 6/30/19 by actually digging out the site more to make it longer and leveled it a bit. They also trimmed both of our wonderful shade trees so no limbs would damage or scrap our coach. Gravel would be ordered within a couple of weeks, but we could move in now. A couple days later Barry and I went to Lowe’s to get some cinder blocks and planks to make a “fence” to finish off our site a bit more while providing a visual diffuser to our neighbor’s water and sewer hook-ups, etc. We loved how it turned out. We’ve have several compliments on it. Plus it was super cheap to do!

Phil kept us apprised as to the status of the gravel. The gravel arrived 7/19/19. We moved out of the site early this morning so they could deliver and spread the gravel throughout our site. We are quite happy with how this site has turned out! It is SO quiet and peaceful at our site! There is very little traffic, AND a decent phone signal AND Wifi!! We are happy with our decision to lease a site. NO more hassle of where we are going to end up each time, who will be next to us, and no more having to pack up to leave for a week every 3 weeks. It will also be nice when we leave the end of the month to fly to WA because we can just leave Vinny right where he is and all will be safe. Our neighbor to the left is one of the park rangers.

Next, Barry suggested getting some pavers for a place to step down to from our steps and that would give a transition from the stairs to the patio mat. It would also mean you could quickly go in or out without shoes on. So we went to Lowe’s and Home Depot to check what each had. Lowe’s had the better choices, or at least the one we liked best. We decided on size of 3 x 4 for a total of 12 pavers.
