To Yosemite Lakes TT

The drive to Yosemite from Visalia Elks RV parking was initially quite pleasant as I drove 99 North to Fresno and then to the 41 North.  But, OH MY! —once we were on the 49, it was hairpin curves, and tight “s-curves”, and switchbacks all over the place for over 30+ miles!

I actually handled it really well, but my knee sure was feeling it by the time we reached Yosemite Lakes Thousand Trails. We decided we would just sit tight here the remainder of the day to unwind/chill. It was hot. Good thing. After a couple hours Barry noticed our coach was registering low voltage of 105/106, so we moved to a second site. We were going to need our AC. Voltage here was only 107/107. Time to keep looking. We went to the upper part. SCORE! Site 245. The voltage was 117/118. The site next to us (246) was closed for power issues, as were a couple other along this strip of sites. Our power worked great! Not only did we finally score for the power, but this site has significant shade, is much more private, and is quieter due to lack of other RVs near! It was a bit of a hassle chasing down a decent site with dependable power, but we knew it was worth it. We got all set up just before dark. This will be home for 6 nights while visiting Yosemite National Park.
