On August 5 we went to our Upper Antelope Canyon tour booked through Antelope Slot Canyon Tours. We had to be transported to the site of the tour. Therefore, this one included a most thrilling “van” ride for 2-3 miles! Seat belts were required. This YouTube “short” may give you a small idea why.
We were very glad we booked through this company because we were in a nicer vehicle that was FULLY ENCLOSED with nice seats and air-conditioning!! We watched many pick-up style trucks with open-air seating in the bed of the truck! They had so much nasty dust to deal with as they traveled to and from the canyon.
Walking from the van to the entrance.

Mario, showed us cool things to see within the canyon. I think my favorite was this bird.

This eye was pretty cool, too.

We enjoyed a great tour by Mario! He took several pictures for us and “threw sand” up in the air to be illuminated by the sun rays beaming down into the canyon.

Mario played his Navajo-flute for us. Again–a guide who gave us something that others did not get.

Just looking across the surface terrain both here and by the Lower Antelope Canyon, you would have no idea such beauty inside!

We really enjoyed our tours of both the Upper and Lower Antelope Canyons! We headed back to our site at Roam America RV Park to get ready for our next adventure while here!
