After a long travel day (for us) we arrived at our next Harvest Host – Canyon Creek Brewing. This was an awesome Harvest Host. They were super friendly. We parked in the “extended” parking lot. Since we weren’t a big Class C, Fifth Wheel, Class A etc., we were able to simply back into the regular overflow “standard” parking section. Larger rigs need to park all the way to the right by a wall and a container. (A total of 4 larger rigs came to stay at this HH.)

There were two outside patio seating areas. The one shown below was more for overflow. The one to the left of it was for outside seating with a nice ambience.

This large outdoor seating side even had “grass” area. It was such a great outside patio area with lots of shade and a perfect breeze with the added wind art in the landscaped areas. It is also very dog friendly.

Barry told me about the flavored sparkling waters they make here, so I headed inside to see what I wanted. I saw that they had a beer titled “German Brown Ale”. Hmmm…I liked the dark beer when I was in Germany, but I don’t really like beer.

I started to talk with a very helpful employee. She suggested I try the “What The Hell?” because the description doesn’t do it justice.

She suggested a sample of them, but when she gave me the WTH sample, it was really good, so I got it. Not sure I could drink an entire glass though. But for $5, it will be OK if I don’t! LOL
It’s a good thing Barry was sitting down when I came out. First thing out of his mouth was “What the hell!?!” I laughed immediately, and responded, “yes, it is!” Then I told him that was the name of the beer!

Canyon Creek Brewing specializes in their beers (and sparkling waters) doesn’t offer food options but instead have a different food truck come on site each evening to provide hot food options for their customers. What a great way to provide a variety throughout the week!

Tonight was Mr. Street Taco. We each got one. Many street tacos are tiny with some meat but not much of anything else. This was the best street taco either of us has ever had. Way better than the ones we had in San Antonio. The tortilla was freshly made, was crispy, but didn’t break all apart. Great flavor! SOO Good!! Would definitely order these again and more than one. LOL

The yard art that moves with a little air acted as gentle fans for us!

Even the outside fire pits were unique with cool protective spheres that were custom metal art.

No late-night, rowdy “bar” noise since the Brewing Tap Room closes about 9 PM. It was a popular place for locals, but by 8:50 PM everyone was gone.

What a beautiful evening with both our back doors opened along with the sliding door!.

Prior to arriving we went to a nearby car/RV self-wash. It was GREAT! It only cost us $10 to wash Sadie completely and use spot-free rinse water. “Chris” who was down on his luck came right up to us to help. He actually got all the bugs off the front and had a couple extra cloths so Barry gave him $10 for helping out. Made his day. Even $20 to get Sadie completely washed was worth it! This was cheaper than the Blue Beacon Truck/Large RV-type washes that we had to use with Vinny when we were on the road. OF course they did all the work, but this was pretty easy with both of us.
Tomorrow we stay at a PICKLEBALL Harvest Host in Jasper, WY!
